Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Feb 5, 2018 – Feb 11, 2018:
We start the week on Monday with a disseminating Moon in Libra, which first trines the Sun (in Aquarius) and then later trines Venus and opposes Uranus. As Moon transits are fleeting, this series of transits will likely only produce short-lived effects.
But you may find yourself going through a whole gamut of conflicting emotions, from feeling loving and conciliatory (Moon in Libra trine Sun), to feeling impatient, rebellious and erratic (Moon in Libra opposite Uranus).
The Moon goes void of course around dinner time, where it remains untl around 4am on Tuesday. That’s when it moves into Scorpio. Any aspects involving the Moon are temporary are likely to fly by imperceptibly. But that doesn’t mean these two days will be uneventful. There are still always transits in play: planets interacting with one another and blending or communicating their unique energies.
On Wednesday, Venus sextiles Uranus. Although this aspect can bring new people into your life — including potential relationship partners — it’s more of a social aspect than a romantic one. Especially since Venus is in the sign Uranus rules (Aquarius) and the sextile in this case is an 11th house (the area associated with friends and acquaintences) aspect.
Still, as the sextile is known to be a collaborative aspect, it can break up any of the crystallization that may have been forming in your relationships and can dismantle whatever roadblocks may be standing in your way. Venus/ Uranus is good at getting rid of the debris and clearing a path for you to achieve a more open and progressive expression of love.
The Moon and Jupiter come together on Thursday and should be visible on the Eastern Horizon in the early morning hours. The Moon / Jupiter conjunction (especially in Scorpio, the most intimate sign of all) can see you feeling more comfortable exploring your emotions, as well as those of your loved ones.
You may also be feeling more upbeat, optimistic and open, as Jupiter is the planet related to personal growth and expansion. You might be sensitive to opportunities that present themselves to learn, grow and evolve.
On Friday. Mercury conjuncts the North Node (and opposes the South Node). This can manifest as a chance encounter that turns out to be anything but in the end. Whether it’s a past-life connection or just someone you meet unexpectedly that turns into a significant connection, you want to pay attention.
Also be mindful of what you say and how you say it. Mercury represents communications and the Nodes are said to be karmic in nature. So pay attention to what you put out there as it could have long term repercussions.
Venus moves into Pisces — where it will remain for the next few weeks — on Saturday. Venus is exalted in Pisces, meaning that it is an honored or revered placement. As Neptune — the modern ruler of Pisces — is the higher octave of Venus, this placement is said to be in essential dignity.
Venus in Pisces is sensitive, romantic and altruistic. It’s highly imaginative and naturally creative, with a penchant for fantasy or escapism. This transit can represent a time of feeling closer to others, craving a deep and meaningful connection to people from all walks of life. It’s a time of increased compassion and sensitivity, of seeing how connected we all are to one another and how unimportant our differences really are.
Take some time while Venus is in Pisces to get in touch with your softer, gentler side. See the beauty all around you — in nature, in the music and the arts, and in friends, loved ones and strangers. Let your imagination take flight and open your heart to those who may need little more than a kind word or a shoulder to lean on.
The Sun squares Jupiter late Saturday evening, or early morning Sunday, depending on where in the world you are located. This aspect can manifest as feeling so expansive and gregarious that you end up biting off more than you can chew or promising more than you can deliver. The combination of enthusiasm and benevolence can get you thinking you can do more than you really can. And while your heart may be in the right place, your inability to follow through can get you into hot water.
This aspect is known for over-indulging, over-extending and over-committing. In other words overdoing everything. You may be feeling so jovial and so overconfident that you have a hard time reigning in it and exercising any real discipline. Keep this in mind over the weekend, as there’s lots going on next week and you don’t want to as
That’s it for this week; see you next week!
