The month begins with Neptune going into direct motion at 20 degrees of Pisces on December 1 after being in its apparent retrograde motion since late June of this year.
This planet’s effect can be subtle as it takes so long to move through a sign. One can be totally unaware of anything going on but it is associated with the sign of Pisces and is involved with inspiration, delusions, mystical states, spiritual and religious fervor, new cultural concepts and medical discoveries so that gives a clue to the areas of life under its domain.
If one has Neptune aspecting a planet in your natal chart, one can feel like a stranger in a strange land during the transit, very detached or appear confused in fact. Neptune was last in the sign of Pisces from 1847-1861.
Next up, we have a Solar eclipse in the early morning hours of December 4 at 12 degrees of Sagittarius. Mercury is also very close to the eclipse degree so the mind is very much involved with this eclipse as the Moon rules the unconscious and emotional mind and Mercury rules the conscious intellectual mind.
This eclipse energy can help one become aware of negative unconscious patterns that are running things under the surface, a “face your demons” kind of energy. Much understanding and wisdom can be gained if you embrace those unconscious patterns and heal those wounds.
There are some extremes possible in the world around the 16th when Mars enters Sagittarius and conjuncts the south node as all the planets, with the exception of the Moon, will be between the 180 degree pattern of the nodes. In Vedic astrology this is known as kala sarpa yoga and is associated with some instability as the energy is unbalanced.
The Sun at this time will be at the Galactic Center and can provide insights into how to proceed with in higher consciousness. Venus is also conjunct the planet Pluto at this time, which is another kind of extreme or obsessive combination. Sounds like fun, right? With the right partner, absolutely.
Venus goes into her retrograde motion on December 20 at 26 degrees of Capricorn and will be close to Pluto through the end of the year and transiting the sign of Capricorn through the beginning of March 2022.
Earthy Capricorns like stability, structure and security so it’s a time to make sure you have enough of what you need to make your life feel solid and supportive. Uranus in fellow earth sign Taurus can help one find new ways to generate stability even with the square from Saturn in Aquarius disrupting the smooth flow of the energy.
Jupiter finishes up its transit through Aquarius at year’s end and goes into Pisces on December 30th. Jupiter rules Pisces and is associated with compassion, faith in the future and the wellbeing of others so there is expansion in those areas of life.
These are energies to work with and if you focus on the highest good for yourself and others even the more difficult or confusing transits can offer you a step up in your journey to wholeness. Love is greater than fear, after all.

Aries — March 21-April 19: With your ruling planet, Mars, in its home sign of Scorpio for 2 more weeks, there’s an opportunity to look deeper inside yourself to understand hidden motivations or fears or beliefs that are running your internal drives. It’s also a good time to solidify career opportunities that have presented themselves in the past month. Your best days are the PM hours of the 11th, the 12th and the 13th.
Taurus — April 20-May 20: With Venus close to Pluto this month you might be obsessing about money, security or feathering your nest. It’s a very good time to look into your investments, consolidate debts or start a new long term financial plan. This is underscored by the Solar eclipse happening in your 8th house as well. The next few months look good for career gains too. Days to focus on the new plan are the 14th, 15th and AM hours of the 16th.
Gemini — May 21-June 21: With the eclipse happening in your solar 7th house of partnerships, both business and personal, you will undergo some changes to how you approach both of these areas. It’s time to uncover your hidden motivations of attraction and repulsion in that part of life. Trust the process and confront your issues. Best days to do this are the PM hours of the 16th, the 17th and the full Moon on the 18th, which is in your sign.
Cancer — June 22-July 23: The Solar eclipse happens in your 6th house of health, habits and work so these are the areas of life that need some attention from you for appropriate revision. The sign of Cancer likes to care for others but can sometimes be too involved with trying to fix things for others, particularly for your children. Listen to the issues at hand and hold back from trying to solve someone else’s problems. Good days to take some time for yourself are the 19th, 20thth and AM hours of the 21st.
Leo — July 24-August 23: The Solar eclipse happens in your 5th house of children, creativity, and what we do for fun and enjoyment. Doesn’t sound too bad, does it? With the eclipse being a solar one and Leo is ruled by the Sun, you may experience some changes involved in those areas of life, possibly even a distancing from one of your children as they go through some problematic experience. Don’t be overbearing in how you deal with them during this time, give them some space to solve things on their own. The PM house of the 21st, the 22nd and 23rd are your stellar days this month.
Virgo — August 24-September 22: With Mercury, your ruling planet, involved with the Solar eclipse in your solar 4th house of home, ancestors, real estate and roots, you might undergo some changes in those areas, which possibly could be a move under consideration during the next year. There also might be some career changes or options for growth presented to you this year. All seems to be a step up for you in regards to gains and prestige. Your power days are the 24th, 25th and AM hours of the 26th.
Libra — September 23-October 22: With your ruling planet, Venus, going into retrograde motion on the 20th and being closely conjunct Pluto and in the 4th house when it stations, there is some kind of deep upheaval and transformation involved in the core of your life right now. It could be that you want to transform your image and identity or even where you live during the next year. The eclipse happens in your 3rd house of siblings, neighbors, writing and speech may find you in some position to express yourself more publicly. However these energies manifest will deeply change you in more ways than one. Your best days are the PM hours of the 26th, the 27th and AM hours of the 28th.
Scorpio — October 23-November 22: With Mars in your sign for another 2 weeks, you have the stamina and energy to accomplish your goals and ambitions. Be careful on the 16th when Mars will contact the south node and cause something you are working on to fail. It’s best to take a contemplative “so be it” attitude to this and start anew at a later date. Extremes are possible around that time but don’t get caught up in the drama. Your best days are the 1st, 2nd, PM hours of the 28th, the 29th and AM hours of the 30th.
Sagittarius — November 23-December 20: With your ruling planet, Jupiter, finishing up its transit in Aquarius by the end of the month, you are completing a long cycle of what may have felt like zero progress, treading water, so to speak. Well, the end of that is very near and it is kicked off by the eclipse in your sign on the 4th. It’s a new beginning that can bring recognition, professional gains and new partnership opportunities. This next year will be really good for you as will the days of the 3rd, 4th and 31st. Happy New Year!
Capricorn — December 21-January 20: With Venus and Pluto together in your sign and in your solar 1st house, there’s some major transformation regarding your image and what you project out in the world. However, the Solar eclipse on the 4th happens in your 12th house of self-undoing, karma, and surrender to what the subconscious mind offers. This can sometime be a major experience that shows you a change in how you operate is necessary. Best days to look pursue positive changes are the 5th and 6th.
Aquarius — January 21-February 19: This eclipse cycle happens in your solar 11th house of gains, friendships and powerful associations. With both Jupiter and Saturn in your 1st house in your sign, you are viewed as a person of notable experience and wisdom. The coming year will continue that grace. Pay attention to new information coming in about humanitarian causes or groups you may want to pursue a connection with. The 7th and 8th are your power days.
Pisces — February 20-March 20: The Solar eclipse highlights your 10th house of career, professional stature and public image. You may be considering a big change over the coming year, also indicated when Jupiter goes into your sign in 2022. This likely means an expansion so if you are up for some kind of promotion, you will probably get what you desire. All pretty positive in my estimation. Your best days are the 9th, 10th and AM hours of the 11th.
