We begin this month with all the planets moving in direct motion for the next two months. so take your foot off the brake and move forward with your plans. You can start slowly in the first two weeks as the energy builds around the 16th as the elemental balance starts to shift.
There’s an abundance of earth signs during the first two weeks of the month with three planets in Capricorn and two planets in Taurus dominating the elemental balance. There are also two planets in the air element and two in the water element.
The elemental balance shifts by February 16th to five planets in the air element of Aquarius, two in watery Pisces and two in earthy Taurus as the energy gains momentum.
By the end of February it shifts again to four planets in water, three in air and two in the earth element. So, during the latter part of the month, check in with your feelings, pay attention to your emotions and intuition and get ready to start looking at your life path and future in a new way. It feels right for a leap year! What are you going to do with that extra day this month?
Mercury is separating from Mars now so the argumentative energy is waning. Venus is approaching Mars so there’s a desire for relationship beginning to develop as they dance together for the next 5 weeks. This can develop with more intensity from the 14th through the 20th as both planets conjunct Pluto’s position at 0 degrees of Aquarius.
Jupiter moves from 7 degrees of Taurus to 11 degrees maintaining earthy stability and Saturn moves forward from 6 degrees of Pisces to just shy of 10 degrees by month’s end and clears the 7 degree 12’ point on February 7, where it went retrograde in June of 2023, so hopefully that Saturnian lesson, if you had one, was learned!
Uranus is now in direct motion at 19 degrees 6’ of Taurus and moves to 19 degrees 34’ by the end of the month but picks up some speed in March by covering more than one degree in that time frame. Uranus can bring in abrupt endings, advances in technology and science as well as revolutionary ideas and changes in society and cultures. Being that Taurus is an earth sign, earthquakes and volcanic eruption are also possible with Uranus in that sign.
Neptune moves forward in Pisces from 25 degrees 47’ to 26 degrees 44’ and is not aspected by any of the other planets. Things are happening in the watery element but we just aren’t hearing much about it these days. I did see an interesting video about a floating trash collection device being used in California where the drainage ditches or streams feed into the ocean. It traps the trash before it gets into the ocean and then the trash gets loaded into dumpster-like containers and taken to dump sites on land. Tons of trash was prevented from polluting the ocean and washing up on the beaches. Every coastal community needs one of these systems!
Pluto is at 0 degrees 23’ Aquarius and advances to 1 degree 12’ Aquarius this month. He does retrograde back into Capricorn on September 2, turns direct on October 11 and re-enters Aquarius on November 20 where he will transit that sign for the next 20 years. We shall see what that brings in as it’s a little too soon to exactly tell.
The Chinese New Year occurs on the new Moon of February 9th. This begins the year of the wood dragon which symbolizes power, wisdom, honor and success. It also brings in opportunities, changes and challenges. Dragon years are 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000, 2012 and 2024.

Aries — March 21-April 19: Chiron is still within a degree of the transiting south node in your sign all month so there is some healing you need to do for yourself. Taurus — April 20-May 20: With Jupiter and Uranus in your solar 1st house you have an abundance of charm and magnetism going for you and they make a favorable trine aspect to the 3 Capricorn planets in your solar 9th house of higher education, philosophy and a search for meaning. Use that energy to take a class or two in your field of interest or explore something new. The Jupiter/Uranus vibe is building to nice crescendo when those two planets are conjunct on April 25. In fact, almost all of April and May is a time of good fortune and a great time to start a new project or launch a new product. Travel and adventure are also favored this spring. This pairing doesn’t happen that often, in fact Uranus has not been in your sign since 1935-1943 so make the most of this fortunate conjunction. Your stellar days are the PM hours of the 14th, the 15th and AM hours of the 16th.
Gemini — May 21-June 21: With Saturn at the top of your chart in your solar 10th house you may be given additional responsibilities in your work arena and professional life. Do your best with it and ask questions if you are unsure of how it works or what protocol is. There are 3 planets in Capricorn in your 8th house so some introspection is necessary and/or maybe some financial planning for your retirement. Take the time to do this carefully, even if it means you are less available socially. It will pay off in the long run for your future. Your days of good fortune this month are the PM hours of the 16th, the 17th and 18th.
Cancer — June 22-July 23: With the Capricorn planets in your solar 7th house you may be considering taking a new job or signing a contract for some long term commitment, be it marriage, partnership agreements or a business deal. There could also be some frustration with a situation that’s been a bit stagnant. Not to worry, the situation opens up after the 20th as the Sun moves into Pisces, a water sign that is favorable for you. You are ready to take on more responsibility and have a plan ready for how to handle the tasks at hand. Jupiter and Uranus in Taurus in your solar 11th house provide good guidance from friends and associates as well as good times with them. Your most favorable days are the 19th and the 20th.
Leo — July 24-August 23: With 3 planets in a fellow fire sign in your solar 5th house of fun, creativity and passion this month could hold some fun activities or travel if you care to partake of it. The Sun and Pluto will join up and enter Aquarius on the 21st, the sign ruling your solar 7th house. If married, you might find that your spouse is acting odd or you are seeing them in a very different light. There is transformation on the horizon but it’s a long way off. Be ready for many changes in how you deal with others. Take some time for yourself on the full Moon of the 25th, the 26th and the AM hours of the 27th.
Virgo — August 24-September 22: This year will have Saturn in Pisces fully in your solar 7th house of partnership which can mean a deeper commitment to a partnership or some wear and tear showing in the relationship / partnership department as demands start being made and tensions surface. If your home has been particularly busy last month, that period is ending as the 3 planets in your 4th house will soon be just one, bringing back the peace and quiet you crave. Your long term outlook is verypositive with lots of travel coming up this year as well. Use the positive vibes of the 1st, 2nd, PM hours of the 27th, the 28th and 29th to ask for what you want.
Libra — September 23-October 22:This is a great time to connect with your inner thoughts, writings, and communication in any form as three planets move through your 3rd house. At the end of the month the Sun and Pluto move into fellow air sign Aquarius and your creative 5th house, also stimulating a creative communication theme, but one which is less personal and more universal in content. Money is on your mind and will remain a bit illusive this month but that situation is going change in the next few months. Your best days are the 3rd, 4th, 30th and 31st.
Scorpio — October 23-November 22: With Mars at the end of Sagittarius and about to go into Capricorn on January 5th, its exaltation sign, you’ll get a mental and physical boost as he goes into your solar 3rd house which will give you a stronger interest and involvement in the communication arena. Spend some time getting your message out in the world and promote your skills. Pluto and the Sun will enter Aquarius on the 21st, your solar 4th house which will bring greater contact with family, your ancestors, real estate and things beneath the surface. The days of the 5th, 6th and AM hours of the 7th.
Sagittarius — November 23-December 20: With Venus, Mercury and Mars transiting your sign and your 1st house, this can be a very busy and pleasant social time. Your ruling planet, Jupiter, is now in direct motion in the sign of Taurus in your 6th house which means you have to watch your intake of food and drink as Jupiter in Taurus likes to party!
