Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 14, 2015 — Three of Coins

Three of Coins

Three of Coins

Today you may feel like you’re hitting your mark and making progress in everything you set your mind to. It may seem like things are starting to come together for you as you see your plans beginning to take shape.

It’s a good day to put your head together with like-minded people and work on bringing a project to fruition. The Three of Coins is a “teamwork” card, among other things.

This card is about hitting your stride and seeing the early results of something you’ve been working hard on. Sometimes you need help to take it to the next level, even if that comes in the form of a critical eye.

The Three of Coins — like all Threes — refers to the initial stages of progress where you’ve taken an idea (the Ace), put it into production (the Two), and see it turning into something of value (the Three).

This version of the card — from the Chinese Tarot by Jui Guoliang — depicts this energy beautifully with the figure in the card pulling back his arrow and aiming it at his target, which are three golden coins dangling from a tree.

His aim is so precise and so focused that there’s no doubt he’ll hit his mark, and may even take all three of them out in one felled swoop. This is the attitude you want to keep with you today as you set your sites on achieving your goals.

The Three of Coins says that you’re making progress and should be feeling good about what you’ve accomplished so far. But there’s still work to be done, and you won’t be able to do it alone. It’s a good time to reach out to others and ask for help if you need it. It can’t hurt to offer it to those who’d benefit from your assistance too. You may need a little push to get past a hump, or you may need the discerning eye of someone you trust.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 13, 2015 — The Sun

The Sun

The Sun

Today’s New Moon in Virgo brings with it a partial solar eclipse of the Sun. As the Moon crosses between the Sun and Earth, it obscures the Sun’s light for a brief moment in time before it reveals it again, with newfound insight and clarity.

While the Moon in this version of the card — from the beautiful Cosmic Tarot — is clearly less than full, the important feature here is the Sun shining brightly, spreading its golden rays over the land. It warms the earth and brings life to the valley below.

The Sun card represents energy and vitality. Feeling alive and happy to be alive. It refers to getting in touch with your inner child, your true authentic spirit, the part of you that longs to embrace life with ever fiber of your being.

When we think of the Sun, we think of warmth, light and life. It warms our spirits as well as our bodies; it brightens our moods as well as the outside world, and it brings life to our dreams and goals as well as to every living thing on the planet.

The Sun card in the Tarot is much the same way. It refers to the wonder and glory of being alive. Of feeling warm, confident, radiant and spirited. Its attitude is that “everything is as it should be” today, for you and in the world around you.

Today’s eclipse can take that away from you for a moment, and have you reflecting on what needs to be changed. What is no longer working for you? What needs to be put to rest? And what do I want to manifest in my life from this day forward? These are the things you want to be thinking about today as you bask in the Sun’s warm light.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 12, 2015 — Ten of Cups

Ten of Cups

 Ten of Cups

Today is a day for counting your blessings. It’s a day for expressing gratitude for the life you’ve created and for the loved ones and family members who’ve been such an important part of it.

The Ten of Cups — this version from Erin Morgenstern’s Phantomwise Tarot — is all about friendships and family, camaraderie and hospitality. It’s about joining together with like-minded people to create a legacy that will live on long after you’re gone.

You may be arriving at a place in your life where you can look back over the connections you’ve established and the commitments you’ve made. Relationships that have held up over the years and that promise to withstand the test of time.

The rabbits in this version of the card make up one big happy family. They’re doing what rabbits do best — multiplying — as are the books they’ve stacked up beside them and the teacups they’re filling from top to bottom. This card emphasizes the qualities of support, companionships and camaradarie that are such important features of this card.

The Ten of Cups refers to achieving something that is worth acknowledging and celebrating, as seen here in the imagery of this card. It’s about fulfillment and security; a solid foundation of abundance and prosperity, and the sense that you have built something you can take pride in.

Take time today to let those nearest and dearest to you know how important they are. While the Ten of Cups is also said to indicate the culmination of something, that doesn’t mean you’ve come to the end of the road. This card is all about embracing all you’ve established through your connections and interactions with those who matter most — with your family, friends and loved ones.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 11, 2015 — The Magician

Magician

The Magician

Today is a good day to show the rest of the world just what it is you’re made of.

The Magician card — in the Prairie Tarot deck portrayed by an old-style vaudeville magician — is so skilled at whatever he puts his mind to, that he can do it with his eyes closed (or in this case a pair of darkened glasses). It’s all about concentration and mastery.

In this version of the card, we see the Magician demonstrating all of the qualities he possesses — skill (pentacles), ingenuity (swords), creativity (wands) and intuition (cups). He stands before a table with all of his tools, ready to perform “magic.”

Similarly, you’ll want to become more aware of the tools that you possess naturally that can be honed and fine tuned into something magnificent. You may also start noticing magic happening to you — in the form of unexpected events or synchronicities. Don’t chalk it all up to dumb luck though: see it instead as confirmation from the Universe that you’re on the right path.

While there are also elements of trickery and sleight of hand, the proper manifestation of this energy is to funnel it into something that can be mastered.

Every one of us has something that we’re so passionate about — and properly channeled, This can be your calling. It’s all about making the best and most powerful use of that thing that makes you YOU. Like the Magician, you’ll need to realize that the ultimate power and control over your life are in your own hands.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 10, 2015 — Princess of Wands

Princess of Wands

Princess of Wands

Today’s Moon in Leo sits between Venus and Mars, making for a great time to reach for the stars. This aspect is warm, expressive, creative and dynamic — very much like the Princess of Wands.

The Princess of Wands is all about shedding inhibitions and taking the world by storm. She’s impulsive, enthusiastic and confident. She’s not afraid to put herself out there and show the rest of the world what she’s made of. She’s enthusiastic and eager to make things happen.

There’s a fiery, impassioned energy about her, as well as a sort of reckless abandon. She may not always think things through; she’s more interested in getting things moving than seeing them through to fruition. Because of this, it may not be the best time to commit to long-term projects or goals.

It’s a great time for brainstorming, inventing and creating — and not so great for launching a project that is not yet fully formed.

As with all of the Court cards, this may be someone in your life or it may relate to qualities that are going to be important for you to embrace. If it’s someone in your life — such as a headstrong and rebellious teenager or a temperamental partner — you’ll have to rise up and meet them on their own turf in order to balance out that energy.

The Princess of Wands can motivate and inspire you in your own life too. Ask yourself in what areas have you been too timid or uncertain, and how might incorporating some of her passion and bravery into your own life work to your advantage? Use this time to tap into your creative potential and save the business of accomplishing something big for another day.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 9, 2015 — Seven of Swords

Seven of Swords

Seven of Swords

As Mercury squares Pluto today, you may need to think about the power of your own thoughts and words. Both the ability they have to do harm and the ability they have to do good.

Swords stand for our intellect and mental processes. If you have some form of work to do that you need to really put your thinking cap on to get done then this is the month to do it.

Do not waste your time pondering over what might have been you have a task to complete and you need to get on with it. A clear mind and a clear conscious is needed.

The central figure in this card — from Stephanie Pui-Min Law’s gorgeous Shadowscapes Tarot — is a masked man dressed as a blackbird, surrounded by his blackbird friends. He’s hidden himself at the base of a boulder, having stolen a sword from the Guardian Swan.

The question today is, are you the Swan or are you the masked man?  Do you need to be on guard against trickery and deception, or are you the one who’s tempted to use your ingenuity for questionable gains? Mercury square Pluto can bring trust issues to the forefront and can also fuel your own treacherous impulses, which can see you trying to outsmart even the most honorable foe.

The ravens are there delivering messages and perhaps warning you to be on your toes. But the message here is one of being wise about what you think and wise about what you say, because you never know when a misplaced word or misconstrued sentence can come back to haunt you later.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 8, 2015 — Ten of Wands

Ten of Wands

Ten of Wands

Has it seemed like it’s been all work and no play for you in recent days? The Ten of Wands — this version from the gorgeous Whispering Tarot — can feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders, or are so consumed with work that you have no time left for anything else.

You might experience this first hand on the job or in a stressful relationship or even in your own head. If you’ve been giving — of your time, energy, money, affection — until you find you have nothing left to give, that is the essence of the Ten of Wands.

You may be questioning whether something is worth putting more effort and energy into — such as a job, a relationship, or a business venture that’s not paying off — or whether it’s time to throw in the towel.

You may also feel like you’re carrying “extra baggage,” whether this refers to your own struggles or those of someone else. You may have taken on someone else’s problems, rather than letting them iron them out themselves. As a result it may feel like you’re carrying the weight of the world on your shoulders with no time or energy left to attend to your own needs.

Mars and  Chiron are in a hard aspect (inconjunct) today. This is a tricky configuration because it creates tension between the planet related to action and self-direction (Mars) and the planet related to self sacrifice. It can translate as illogical doubts and fears, which you don’t want to let hold you back.

The weight of responsibilities you’ve taken on may seem like a heavy load — too heavy in fact for just one person to carry. The Ten of Wands says it’s time to lighten your load. Get rid of what is no longer worth holding onto, and work on salvaging what’s left.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 7, 2015 — Six of Scrolls

Six of Scrolls

This is a time when wisdom meets hopes and dreams. The elephant in this card portrays that which is ancient and wise and the knowledge which a person like this can bestow on you.

Keep your ears open today for one such as this because it seems as if they have something very wise and nurturing to give you in the form of words and knowledge.

There is almost a spiritual connotation to this card — the Six of Scrolls from the beautiful Chrysalis Tarot — as the colour purple surrounds the elephant (giver of wisdom and knowledge).

You may find that you go within yourself to draw out that which is wise and strong… that which you always knew. With this knowledge a transformation takes place within you.

The point where the woman in this card touches the elephant’s forehead with her own is where the 6th chakra lays. This is where psychic information flows in and out and relays that the knowledge and wisdom you attain does not need to be from books but is simply “known” by you. The crescent moon and stars in the sky speak of mystery and mysticism as well as the turning of the ages.

You may be thinking of taking a meditation class or psychic course. If these are not for you art, writing or anything creative can also give you the knowledge and wisdom you are looking for as it is already within you.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 6, 2015 — Ace of Cups

ace of cups

Ace of Cups

Venus turns direct in Leo today, after six long weeks in retrograde motion.

The Ace of Cups, from the gorgeous Goddess Tarot — features the Venus symbol prominently, as it is etched into the golden chalice from which the Sun also rises. The Sun’s luminous rays combine with the contents of the chalice and spill over into a shimmering pool of light.

This represents a period of bringing Venus forward again, and releasing her energy back into the light.

Venus is in Leo now, the sign associated with warmth, benevolence, creativity and self-expression. As she begins to move forward through the last half of this sign, think about how you can make the most of these influences.

All Aces are related to new and unformed energy. So even if it does manifest as something material — a new love interest or some form of external validation for example — the bottom line is that it creates a “feel good” energy which reverberates throughout your very being.

As this is the Ace of Cups, and Cups refer to emotions, intuition and feelings, it’s likely to manifest on one of these levels. Love and romance for starters. But also affection, intimacy, sharing, closeness and the expression of feelings. The Ace of Cups is ripe with potential and opportunity for all of these things. What you do with them — and how open you are to the possibilities before you — is entirely up to you.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 5, 2015 — Seven of Wands

Seven of Wands

Seven of Wands

You may feel as though you have your back against the wall today as you struggle to maintain your principles.

This could relate to something you strongly believe in, such as a political or religious stance. If so, you may feel attacked by others and forced to defend your views.

It can also be an altercation that’s been in the making for some time; the culmination of “bad blood” that’s been bubbling to the surface and finally comes to a head.

Either way you are going to feel the need to stand up for yourself, even if it means angering someone else in the process.

You may feel attacked or ganged up on and will have to reconcile a “me against the world” attitude before it turns into a chip on your shoulder.

The Seven of Wands — this version from the gorgeous Golden Tarot of Klimt — also refers to a need to be more alert, guarded and cautious, rather than accepting things at face value.

This is not the time to rest on your laurels. You’ll want to be braced for attack as your views are more than likely going to rub some people the wrong way.

This doesn’t mean you need to be aggressive or combative. It’s actually just the opposite. You need to adopt a defensive posture in order to deflect the daggers that will more than likely be flung your way.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 4, 2015 — Two of Pentacles

Two of Pentacles

Two of Pentacles

Today you may find yourself juggling all of the different areas in your life and trying to find ways to maintain balance.

With all of the activity going on around you may feel like you’re being spread too thin, or pull in too many different directions. You’ll have to be flexible and observant. Giving into the call of one desire without neglecting the call of another should be foremost on your list.

The idea is to be alert enough to remain aware of your surroundings and agile enough to immerse yourself in them fully. Much like the little faerie — from Nathalie Hertz’ gorgeous Faerie Tarot — in this card.

Although there are bound to be distractions and demands on your time, this card says you have it in you to stay centered and attend to your obligations by pulling those opposing forces together and striking a balance between them.

In the context of this card Pentacles refers to more than just money. While it can mean juggling funds — robbing Peter to pay Paul and seeing money go out as soon as if comes in.

While these are certainly possibilities you want to be aware of, they can also refer to tasks, commitments and external obligations. Think about what you need to balance in your own life today as opposed to what deserves your undivided attention. It may require levels of skill and dexterity that you didn’t even know you had. If you can pull it off though and find ways to satisfy one area without neglecting the other, it should be tremendously rewarding for you in the end.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 3, 2015 — The Chariot

Chariot

The Chariot

Today you may have to work on keeping your emotions in check before they run away with you.

The Chariot card refers to internal upheavals that threaten to manifest externally, such as an angry outburst or emotional display. It challenges you to “pull it together” and exert control over your own internal conflicts.

The Chariot card — this version from the beautiful Crystal Tarot by Philip Permutt — is all about harnessing the divergent forces of your own psyche into something powerful and tangible, such as a long-term goal.

The Chariot card is also associated with the sign Cancer, which the Moon rules. In that respect it’s a reminder of how divergent forces in all of our lives — light vs. dark, positive vs. negative, instinct vs. action, etc. — compete with one another for control.

You’ll likewise be called upon to both maintain control and harness the opposing forces in your own life. Whether this is related to relationship, career, or the dual desires within your own psyche, the challenge will be to find a way to pull your energy inward and funnel it outward into one solid direction.

You can accomplish a lot today through sheer force and determination — as long as you’re aware of the need to focus your energy in one primary direction. You’ll have find a way to balance the diverging energies in your life. But if you can “pull it together” you’ll make great strides toward accomplishing your goals.

You’ll have to work hard if you want to rein in all of that energy, and this is the essence of the Chariot card. It’s the understanding that all parts of any “machine” have to operate in harmony in order to be effective. If you’re willing to embrace that philosophy — and if you can stand up and take hold of the reins in your own life — you can accomplish anything.
