July begins with Saturn in retrograde motion at 19 degrees 26’ Pisces and Neptune stations as it goes into its retrograde period on July 2 at 29 degrees 56’ Pisces. Pisces is the last sign of the zodiac and tends to be a bit sensitive and reclusive in how it interacts with the world in general and in personal relationships.
It is a good time to be more reflective, establish personal boundaries and take care of your inner world, particularly during the retrograde periods.
Mercury moves from 27 degrees Cancer to 3 degrees Virgo by the end of the month. It does have an opposition with Pluto on July 3rd at the beginning of Leo which can bring some shocking or dark secrets to light. Something that has been festering underground for a time will be revealed.
Venus moves from 16 degrees Cancer to 23 degrees of Leo throughout the month. Venus makes an opposition with Pluto from July 10 through July 15 which can have an obsessive or controlling quality to it, particularly if you get involved in a new relationship in the middle of July. There might be more information coming out of a sexual nature or of events that involve female sex trafficking or more backstory about the legislative attempts in the US to control women’s reproductive rights and sexual conduct.
Mars, in the sign of Taurus at 15 degrees on July 1, goes to 6 degrees Gemini by July 31. There is a critical and potentially dangerous period coming up as Mars as moves closer to Uranus at 26 degrees of Taurus between July 10 through July 19. It seems that the ides of July have a bit of danger associated with the planetary conditions of that time with the hard aspects of Venus to Pluto as well as Mars to Uranus.
Those two energies, Mars and Uranus, are volatile when in a hard aspect but particularly so in a conjunction. This combination can be involved with earthquakes, fires, accidents, electrical issues and accidents. It is wise to travel with caution at that time, particularly if you have any natal planets around 23-26 degrees of Taurus or the other fixed signs of Aquarius, Leo and Scorpio.
The 26th degree of Taurus is also considered to be a dangerous degree because of the malefic fixed star, Algol, which represents the severed head of Medusa, which was used by Perseus to save his mother and Andromeda, according to Greek mythology. It is definitely not one of the benefic fixed stars that bestows blessings! We shall see what comes up at that time but because they are in the earth sign of Taurus, physical security, assets. finances, earth changes, earthquakes and volcanoes are in focus.
Jupiter remains in Gemini and moves from 8 degrees to 14 degrees and is not aspected by other planets for the first week of the month. So, it is a relatively neutral factor in the planetary pantheon until we get to July 9 and beyond when Mercury in Leo makes a favorable sextile aspect, giving a mental boost and insights of a higher perspective and then Venus makes the sextile aspect during the 3rd week, which is also a generally pleasant aspect.
Saturn is retrograde in Pisces now and in a favorable trine aspect to the Sun and Venus in fellow water sign Cancer for the first two weeks. Uranus moves from 25 degrees 47’ of Taurus to 26 degrees 51’ by the end of the month and is still connected to the fixed star Algol. There could be some shocking, rebellious or violent events occurring while this conjunction is in play and basically through the end of the November as Uranus retrogrades and then for the final time in April/May of 2025, after its retrograde phase is over. It doesn’t feel like a very comfortable energy to me at all. People can be unpredictable with this energy so if you are sensitive to crowd energy, take care to avoid them.
Neptune, at the 29 degree 56 of Pisces moves back to 29 degrees 42’ during the month. Neptune and Pisces are both associated with water so we could very well see some extremes in rainfall, ocean waves, coastal erosion and hurricanes for the rest of the monsoon and hurricane season. If you are on the coast or visiting a coastal area, have some basic supplies on hand in case you are affected by severe conditions.
Pluto is retrograde and moves from 1 degree 22’ back to 0 degrees 41’ of Aquarius. It will dip back into Capricorn in September, October and the first 3 weeks of November and won’t be back there again for another 250 years! I will celebrate its exit from that sign for sure! Gemini — May 21-June 21: GEMINI: With Jupiter in your sign, you might be overbooked or just have back to back events to attend. Jupiter brings in opportunities to expand your horizons and gives one many, many choices when transiting through your sign. Saturn is retrograde is in your 11th house of friends, business associates, wishes and dreams and income from profession. Your circle of friends may be changing as you no longer fit with what they are doing and it is time to move on. So be it and don’t look back. Make the changes you need to make and keep going. The 2nd, 3rd, AM hours of the 4th, PM hours of the 29th, the 30th and 31st are your best days of the month.
Cancer — June 22-July 23: You have some stable, harmonious conditions this month with the exception of some possible drama between the 10th and 15th. Just use caution at that time in everything you do. With Saturn retrograde transiting your solar 9th house of higher education, philosophy, religion, beliefs and sense of meaning, you might consider getting more education or a certification in something of interest to you that could provide a step up in your occupation. The most supportive lunar vibes for you this month are the 6th and 7th. Do something fun!
Leo — July 24-August 23: You have some inner work to do with planets transiting your 12th house and you should jump right in this month and get started. Saturn retrograde is transiting your solar 8th house and that also supports delving into your psyche for the places you are psychologically stuck. In other words, it’s time to exorcise your demons and move into a freer state of being. Your professional life may have some sudden changes in the middle of the month, so just roll with it and observe if there still is a place for you in the organization after you digest these changes. Your best days are the 7th and 8th.
Virgo — August 24-September 22: There are some interesting shifts coming in your solar 9th house as Mars and Uranus will join there to create some upset to your sense of purpose or to your belief system. I would also caution against long distance travel or travel to foreign countries if at all possible, particularly in the middle of the month. You can experience gains through friends or your business associates, be it money, contacts or new connections, so make use of that positive vibe. Your mate needs extra attention with Saturn Rx in your 7th house so plan to spend regular time together. The end of the month has Mercury entering Virgo so that makes you more mentally strong and feeling more in control of all aspects of your life. Your best days are the 9th, 10th and 11th.

Scorpio — October 23-November 22: This is a critical month with a lot of challenges for you and your spouse as the volatile Mars and Uranus conjunction happens in your solar 7th house of contracts and partnerships. Pluto is also transiting at the very bottom of your chart in the 4th house indicating there is some kind of major change regarding where you live or some difficult situation in your home or with your family that needs attention. Three planets are also about to enter your solar 10th house so your career or occupation undergoes some adjustment at the same time as well. You will need a long rest by the end of the month as these energies begin to wane. It will be OK but it won’t be easy or that comfortable through most of the month. Use the positive lunar vibes on the 14th, 15th and 16th for some healthy self care.
Sagittarius — November 23-December 20: You might have income or investment concerns right now as the volatile combination of Mars and Uranus is in your solar 6th house of work environment, service, small pets and health routines.
