We’ve got an eventful week ahead of us, with one planet (the Sun) changing signs, another planet (Neptune) changing direction, and a Full Moon — the Full Frost (or Full Beaver Moon) — in Gemini.

In general, the Capricorn Moon sets the tone for getting serious about our goals, our responsibilities and our reputations. the Chariot

ARIES: The Chariot

This month you’ll have Venus retrograding back into your relationship sector while Uranus retrogrades back into your sign. As a result you may feel yourself being torn between the desire to merge with another (Venus) and an overwhelming desire for freedom (Uranus).

Like the Charioteer in this card —  from Timothy Lantz’s gorgeous Archeon Tarot — you may be in for a bit of a bumpy ride, at least in the relationship department.

This Charioteer is depicted as warrior goddess, harnessing two vastly opposing energies. The blue and red stallions embody hot and cold (or fire and ice) energies and are rearing up in two different directions.

You may be met with obstacles, but you’re clearly up for the challenge: there is a sense of confidence and strength seen here in the way she takes charge of the two rearing beasts. And there’s a sense of fatedness as well: as in the symbol of the goddess Maat above the moon and the overlay of constellations in the background.

The Moon in the background glows a brilliant gold. It almost looks like a Sun: more “opposing/diverging” symbolism. And yet we see the warrior goddess standing front and dead center, as she strives to restore order to the chaos around her.

You’ll likewise be called upon to both maintain control and harness the opposing forces in your own life. Your challenge will be to find a way to pull your energy inward and funnel it outward into one solid direction.

You can accomplish a lot through sheer force and determination — as long as you’re aware of the need to focus your energy in one primary direction. You’ll have find a way to balance the diverging energies in your life. But if you can “pull it together” you’ll make great strides toward accomplishing your goals.

Forecast

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Oct 29, 2018 – Nov 4, 2018:

Venus and Mercury are prominent this week, with each of them changing signs and both of them interacting with other planets on an almost daily basis in the coming days. Venus also appears as a morning star this week, for the first time since early January.

Starting on Monday, there’s a Mercury / Jupiter conjunction appearing in the the night sky, visible on the western horizon, just after the Sun has set. Here we have two natural polarities — the natural rulers of the 3rd and 9th houses — joined together in harmony. We have Mercury — the planet associated with communications and ideas — conjuncting Jupiter — the planet associated with benevolence, good will and generosity.

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Oct 22, 2018 – Oct 28, 2018:

We start this week with Mercury sextiling Pluto and the Sun inconjuncting Chiron on Monday. The Mercury / Pluto aspect is all about deep thoughts and penetrating insights. But you don’t want to keep these to yourself. The sextile speaks of joining hands with others, and sharing information that causes you to stop and think.

Weekly Astrology Forecast — Oct 15, 2018 – Oct 21, 2018:

Forecast

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Oct 15, 2018 – Oct 21, 2018:

This week starts with a Venus / Mercury conjunction at 8° Scorpio 50′ on Monday. This aspect is good for communicating with relationship partners and loved ones. It adds a layer of passion and depth to interpersonal relationships, and may see you revealing more about yourself (and your feelings and intentions) than you’d planned.

Weekly Astrology Forecast — Oct 8, 2018 – Oct 14, 2018:

Forecast

Here is the Ask the Astrologers Weekly Astro Forecast for the week of Oct 8, 2018 – Oct 14, 2018:

This week starts on Monday with all of the personal planets visible in the night sky and a beautiful crescent (Balsamic) Moon visible in the early morning hours. The Moon in Virgo opposes Chiron, with both at Anaretic degrees.  Anaretic Degrees are said to be karmic in nature. They represent the culmination of past-life experiences through the progression of each sign, and can manifest as a sense of urgency to tie up loose ends and close the door on the past. This aspect reinforces the effects of the more reflective and visionary Balsamic Moon. It’s a time for contemplation and introspection, especially in the early morning hours.

Swan

ARIES: The Swan

Your card this month — the Swan (Temperance card) from the Animal Wisdom Tarot, describes a need to go with the flow and to bring the conflicting desires of your being back toward the center.

With your ruler (Mars) getting ready to cross its shadow point, you can put some of your recent setbacks to rest, and focus on bringing balance and harmony back into your life.

This card is called the Angel of Alchemy in this deck. And it certainly looks like an angel. Its beautiful wings are spread wide and welcoming and it’s snow white feathers glisten above the surface of the lake. It glides just inches above the water (feelings, emotions, the unconscious, etc.) — not so far removed that is detaches completely, but not so close that it allows itself to become immersed.

We could all take a page from the Swan’s book in our dealings with others as well as the ways we treat ourselves. Getting just enough altitude to see things from a clearer perspective without neglecting what lies beneath.

The Temperance card refers to bringing the opposing facets of your personality (or your relationships, or your desires) into alignment by finding the perfect middle ground. It represents peace and harmony, synthesis and equilibrium, moderation and restraint.

As you can see from the glorious Swan in this card, nothing needs be sacrificed in attaining that balance. Just remember to rise above whatever situations in your life that are pulling you down, without rising so high that you neglect them or fail to take advantage of opportunities to learn from or grow from them.
