Seven of Cups

Seven of Cups

Today’s Mercury / Neptune square may see you feeling torn by competing interests and pulled in different directions — either away from the things you really want to do, or towards the kind of mindless diversions that cause you lose sight of your priorities.

The Seven of Cups — this version from the Hanson-Roberts Tarot — is a card of temptations, often fueled by irrational thoughts or fantasies. There can be too many options available, which makes it hard to decide. But it’s often a case of wishful thinking and foolish day-dreaming that can interfere with actual progress.

The wizard in this card gazes down at Seven goblets, each more tempting than the last. There’s an octopus, rainbow, dragon, castle, fairy, jeweled crown and a cup full of stars. These are tied to the Seven deadly sins and in fact this card is called “Debauchery” in some decks, referring to the superficial appeal of things that most of us only think will make us happy.

This is the dilemma with the Seven of Cups. What you long for looks so appealing while what you have appears so drab. But it’s just an illusion and even if it weren’t — even if it were perfectly attainable — it’s not going to come about by sitting around daydreaming about it.

There are elements of seduction also inherent in this card. Being seduced by something intangible or just out of reach, or being lured in by a fantasy that falls short in the harsh light of day. Notice the wizard’s almost hypnotic gaze toward all of the trappings of fame, glory, power, wealth and acclaim, which are just hollow victories in the end.

While you may think that the grass is greener on the other side of the fence, chances are good that when you got there you’d want nothing more than to return back home. The message behind this card is to aim for reachable goals and to participate in attaining them rather than allowing yourself to fall into the trap of wishful thinking.

ARIES: Six of Scrolls

This is the month when wisdom meets hopes and dreams.

The elephant in this card — the Six of Scrolls from the beautiful Chrysalis Tarot — portrays that which is ancient and wise and the knowledge a person like this can bestow on you.

Keep your ears open this month for one such as this because it seems as if they have something very wise and nurturing to give you in the form of words and knowledge.

You may find that you go within yourself to draw out that which is wise and strong… that which you always knew. With this knowledge a transformation takes place within you.

The point where the woman in this card touches the elephant’s forehead with her own is where the 6th chakra lays. This is where psychic information flows in and out and relays that the knowledge and wisdom you attain does not need to be from books but is simply “known” by you.

The crescent moon and stars in the sky speak of mystery and mysticism as well as the turning of the ages.

You may be thinking of taking a meditation class or psychic course. If these are not for you art, writing or anything creative can also give you the knowledge and wisdom you are looking for as it is already within you.

 Seven of Cups

So many choices, so little time! You’ve got a lot going on right now and have so many different options available to you, that staying on track can seem like a huge challenge.

You may feel torn by competing interests and pulled in different directions — either away from the things you really want to do or towards the kind of mindless diversions that cause you to lose sight of your priorities. As you can imagine, neither scenario is ideal.

The Seven of Cups — this version from the Dame Fortune’s Wheel Tarot — is a card of temptations, often fueled by irrational thoughts or fantasies. There can be too many choices available to you, which makes it hard to decide. But it’s often a case of wishful thinking and foolish day-dreaming that can interfere with actual progress.

This card is called “Debauchery” in some decks, referring to the superficial appeal of things that most of us only think will make us happy. We may have to remind ourselves that all that glitters is not necessarily gold. All the enticing representations of fame, glory, power, wealth and acclaim may just be hollow victories in the end.

This is the dilemma with the Seven of Cups. What you long for looks so appealing while what you have appears so drab. But it’s just an illusion and even if it weren’t — even if it were perfectly attainable — it’s not going to come about by sitting around daydreaming about it.

Seven of Chalices

Today’s Mercury / Neptune opposition may see fighting the urge to escape into a fog of romantic reverie.

You may find yourself walking around in a haze; lost in thought or daydreaming about a different reality.

The Seven of Chalices is a card of temptations, often fueled by irrational thoughts or fantasies. There can be too many options available, which makes it hard to decide. But it can also be a case of wishful thinking or foolish day-dreaming that can interfere with actual progress.

You may feel like torn by competing interests and pulled in different directions — either away from the things you really want to do, or towards the kind of mindless diversions that cause you lose sight of your priorities.

The woman in this card — from the Tarot Lenormand — is seated on a fluffy cloud with her arm around a colorful peacock and a scepter in her other hand. She’s dressed as a Queen and she very well may be, or perhaps this is just part of her fantasy.

The Seven of Chalices compels you to escape from what may seem like a dull or ordinary existence, into a world of daydreams and fantasy. It may not be productive or practical but it can get you out of a funk.

There are elements of seduction inherent in this card. Being seduced by something intangible or just out of reach, or being lured in by a fantasy that falls short in the harsh light of day. What you long for looks so appealing while what you have appears so drab. But it’s just an illusion and even if it weren’t — even if it were perfectly attainable — it’s not going to come about by sitting around daydreaming.

June 2015 Tarot Scopes by Melodie

ARIES: Justice

This month you may find it necessary to make decisions that are fair and just — without regard your personal leanings. The Justice card refers to a conscious awareness of cause and effect, action and consequence, right and wrong.

It may be a situation that you’re personally involved in, such as a relationship that tugs at your heartstrings but is not in alignment with your principles. Or you may be asked to mediate a disagreement among friends. It’s not about choosing sides. It’s about being able to tap into the “truth” objectively and impartially.

In this version of the card — from the Sun & Moon Tarot — a butterfly girl hovers in the sky behind a scale. She strives to maintain her balance using the blade of her giant sword. A flaming heart is weighed against a single white feather in the scales.

A yin / yang symbol is at the top of the scales and the Hebrew letter “tet” is at the base. Among other things, the tet  symbol refers to wisdom and truth.

The Justice card speaks of balancing head against heart and desire against logic. While we all strive to keep these areas in sync, it’s a constant and precarious battle.

Sometimes the heart rules and sometimes it’s the head. But if you rise above the situation (like the girl in the card) you’ll be better equipped to achieve perspective. Sometimes we have to get some altitude in order to see things from outside of our earthly attachments.

The Justice card encourages you to seek the answers to your most pressing concerns through objectivity and conscious awareness. If you rely too much on head, heart will suffers and vice versa. But if you can find a way to balance the two, the truth will reveal itself in the end.

Mercury squares Neptune today, bringing with it the desire to escape into romantic fantasy and illusions.

You may feel like torn by competing interests and pulled in different directions — either away from the things you really want to do, or towards the kind of mindless diversions that cause you lose sight of your priorities.

The Seven of Cups is a card of temptations, often fueled by irrational thoughts or fantasies. There can be too many options available, which makes it hard to decide. But it’s often a case of wishful thinking and foolish day-dreaming that can interfere with actual progress.

This card is loaded in mystical imagery. There’s a woman riding a flying dragon over a pond filled with lotus blossoms. Three cups rest in the pond — one with a rainbow rising from it — the dragon holds another three, and the last one — the Seventh — is lifted up towards the woman by a tiny glowing fairy.

She may be leaning toward that Seventh magical cup but she hasn’t decided yet, and this is one of the main dilemmas with the Seven of Cups. There are so many choices to be made and some of them more appealing than others.

What you long for may look so much more appealing than what you already have, but it’s also quite possibly an illusion. And even if it isn’t you have to remind yourself that it’s not going to come about by sitting around daydreaming about it.

There are elements of seduction also inherent in this card. Being seduced by something intangible or just out of reach, or being lured in by a fantasy that falls short in the harsh light of day.

Nine of Pentacles

ARIES: Nine of Pentacles

The Nine of Pentacles implies success and satisfaction with career and financial matters. However, take a closer look at the imagery in this particular card and you may find that all is not as it seems. I’m not saying you should not feel more than a bit smug with your achievements but you may find you have an “itch” to try something different.

Do you find thoughts keep coming into your mind that you want to change something? Perhaps your job, your beliefs on success and what it personally means to you? If you look at this card you will see 6 pentacles are on one side (left hand side) and 3 pentacles on the other (right hand side).

Take a sneaky look on the ground under the 6 pentacles — this version from the Golden Universal Tarot — and you will see a snail so perhaps the accumulation of your wealth, knowledge and security is actually making you feel as if your life is moving at a slower pace (a snail’s pace).

Now look at the side of the card with the 3 pentacles and you’ll notice an almost mirrored version of the lefthand side… the difference being there is less on the right hand side (3 pentacles) which implies if you make a decision to go in a different direction you will have less in some ways but you may actually gain in other ways.

Perhaps the biggest indicator in this imagery that speaks out but is easily overlooked is the direction of the foot on the ground… the little bird whispers in your ear to make a change and almost without knowing it you are turning your foot to begin a new direction in your life.

And now here is a conundrum for you… I have not given out which foot I am interpreting as being the one that is “changing directions”… that part of the equation is up to you…. listen with your heart for the answers.

Seven of Cups

Seven of Cups

A day of many choices and none of them all too clear!

Mercury is semi-square Neptune today which means there you possibly be experiencing a bit of confusion when it comes to straight thinking.

Mercury planet of communication coming into this aspect with Neptune can turn everything on its head pretty quickly.

If you have important decisions to make today is not the day to do so. Do not feel pressured into giving answers that you do not have and don’t be pushed into a course of action you are not happy with.

The image on this card conjures up many different avenues you can take. Do you choice the mask, the snake, the serpent, etc?

There is no clear line of thinking in what you should do even on the image of the card. It is as if you have been given all these choices with no logic to back up what you will decide to do.

The Seven of Cups is a card of confusion. This confusion may be what you are experiencing but often it is a situation bought about by someone close to you who is not acting as they “should” and giving you are lot of problems because you are waiting for them to act.

If this is the case your best course of action may be to go your own merry way and not wait around for them to decide.

Give yourself a few days to see your way clear on what you wish to do next and remember don’t wait for someone who is causing you confusion and messing you around to come up with the answers you are searching for.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Nov 20, 2014 — Seven of Tulips

Seven of Tulips

Seven of Tulips

If you aren’t careful with what you are doing today you may just inadvertently make a huge mistake.

If you have papers to sign, contracts to read over, etc make sure you do so twice and don’t sign anything that you don’t understand.

The Seven of Tulips can be a card of confusion. It can also show that you are away with the fairies somewhat and not completely grounded. This is in keeping with today’s Venus / Neptune square, which can turn wishful thinking into later regrets.

Here we see a cute little rabbit picking pink tulips whilst at the same time not looking at what she is doing and also looking for all the world as if she has her head in the clouds (literally).

The best that can be said is that if there is a middle ground or middle of the road stance for you to take on something today then do it. Don’t rock the boat and don’t go pushing into any arguments that you don’t have any right to be in.

If someone is rocking your boat do not let them goad you. Be on the lookout for the wool being pulled over your eyes too as you may be on the receiving end of a trick or two or from someone who is trying to get the better of you.

If you have a chance today to put your feet up and relax it is a great day to let your imagination soar. You can get through quite a lot by just sitting back and not focussing too hard on any one thing.

Remember today is not a day about “doing” it is a day about doing nothing and at the same time allowing others to not take advantage of you.

What a beautiful image this picture paints!

Today is a day to get into yourself, know what you want and test your own boundaries.

I daresay from this yoga pose that you’ll be testing more than a few of your own boundaries you may be pushing yourself to breaking point.

However, be aware that not everything happens all at once. One stretch lead to another… and another and before you know it you are where you set out to be.

You have the capacity today to use all your resources both inner and outer and the beautiful array of colour in this card gives a glimpse to how you are using your resources.

Each chakra is represented in this image so you have a great chance of tuning into yourself and balancing any aspect that you may have found to be coming up short lately.

With Venus inconjunct Neptune today you may be looking to balance more about your love life and emotions than anything else.

There may be the urge to merge with another person but you also need your own space and boundaries and if this has been a problem for you within a relationship recently then perhaps you may wish to gaze upon this image and hear what it speaks to you.

Sept 2014 Tarot Scopes featuring the Tarot of Delphi

Tarot of Delphi -- the Sun

ARIES: The Sun

This month should see you feeling a sense of satisfaction and contentment over recent accomplishments.

The Sun card is traditionally associated with vitality, warmth and a sense of feeling particularly “alive.” But in this version the focus is just as much on taking care of yourself and manifesting that vitality through soaking in the Sun’s rays and recharging your batteries.

The Sun, Mercury and Venus all move through your 6th house this month — the area associated with work and with self-improvement, which includes your physical and mental well-being. Rest and relaxation is just as essential to that process as are work and productivity.

The “Sun” in this card appears to be setting. It casts its rays onto the ocean in the background, shining across the surface like molten gold.

The image of the woman sleeping comfortably without a worry in the world perfectly captures the essence of the Sun. There’s a sense of effortlessness that’s associated with this card, even as the world keeps on turning around you.

Your ruler (Mars) moves into Sag this month (on the 13th) and into your 9th house — the area associated with personal growth and expansion. After that point there will be plenty of time to spread your wings and fly.
