Seven of Chalices

What a beautiful image this picture paints!

Today is a day to get into yourself, know what you want and test your own boundaries.

I daresay from this yoga pose that you’ll be testing more than a few of your own boundaries you may be pushing yourself to breaking point.

However, be aware that not everything happens all at once. One stretch lead to another… and another and before you know it you are where you set out to be.

You have the capacity today to use all your resources both inner and outer and the beautiful array of colour in this card gives a glimpse to how you are using your resources.

Each chakra is represented in this image so you have a great chance of tuning into yourself and balancing any aspect that you may have found to be coming up short lately.

With Venus inconjunct Neptune today you may be looking to balance more about your love life and emotions than anything else.

There may be the urge to merge with another person but you also need your own space and boundaries and if this has been a problem for you within a relationship recently then perhaps you may wish to gaze upon this image and hear what it speaks to you.

Seven of Wands

You seem to have your back up against the wall today with things coming at your right, left and centre.

Staying grounded and standing your ground may be the only 2 things on your mind but there is possibly a third option. Rather than standing still and facing up to what others want from you today, which they may or may not have any right in demanding, you could retreat to the safety of the castle in the background of the image.

If you did so I wonder what you would find there. Would it be a safe retreat where you could clear you mind and come up with a plan to put into place and face your opposition at another time or would it become like a prison to you where you are not willing to leave the safety it surrounds you with?

With the sun beating down and the sheer desolation seen in the landscape of this card it may be better to “regroup” your thoughts on how to proceed rather than expending more valuable energy which has seemed to get you nowhere.

The problems you are facing seem to have become insurmountable almost imminently. There is no image suggesting where they came from or from what or who you are being attacked. This is another good reason to retreat and replenish your energy.

You don’t have to take care of everything today. Give yourself some time out until things become clear and whilst you are doing so you might want to keep these words in your mind… sometimes you kiss a frog and he turns into a Prince… other times you think you are kissing a Prince and he turns out to be a frog.

Temperance

Sit yourself down and take a load of your feet because today Venus is semi sextile Jupiter and this means you deserve a break… even if you don’t!

It’s hard to say if your cup is half empty or half full as you have the means and thought processes today to make it seem like it is either way and as you sit back, relax and get into the mood you really don’t seem to care one way or the other.

Notice the different shapes to the cups and then imagine yourself which one either feels right to you or is nicer and why this is so.

There is no room for wasting any of the liquid being poured in to the larger rimmed cup and it is almost as if nothing is going to waste today.

Even if you feel you are wasting your time it will not be so as you maybe just need a little bit of relaxation and “me” time.

Although the woman in this card sits by a pool the image is not reflected in it and if you take a good look in that pool of water you will find that the actual reality of your position is not really as it seems.

This will not deter you though as you have the wings to fly away at the drop of a hat and do something else.

The Temperance card reminds you of how important it is to achieve balance and harmony in your life.

Knight of Swords

You may be feeling a sense of urgency today — to chase after your goals, deliver an important message or reach some objective that you feel time is running out for.

The Knight of Swords is a fearless and driven individual who can be so intent on pursuing his goals that he fails to see any obstacles in his way. In some ways this is a blessing in disguise: in the “what he doesn’t know can’t hurt him” vein.

But the downside of the mind-set is an inability to see what (or whom) he’s trampling over in his single-minded quest to get to the finish line.

The Knight of Swords can be aggressive and abrupt. He’s no-nonsense and no-BS and is unlikely to worry about sparing anyone’s feelings. He’s also not someone you can reason with or who will be deterred by emotional displays.

In this version of the card the Knight and his stallion are both wearing armor — and both cloaked in royal attire. The Knight raises his sword and rears back on his horse in a gesture of defiance. A second Sword has been thrust into the ground in a symbol of triumph. The spoils of war are behind him.

As with all the court cards, this may be someone in your life or it may be a set of attitudes that you need to adopt. If he’s someone in your life — especially someone you’re at odds with — your best bet is to just get out of his way.

He can be combative and contentious, which means that you’re not going to make any headway in getting your views across.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Sept 8, 2014 — The Moon

The Moon

We are in store for another super moon which turns full today in the sign of Pisces.

Think of all the dreamy, creative, imaginative Piscean traits and then multiply them as the full moon works its magic on your unconscious to bring things to the surface.

This is not the day to be fighting what you don’t want to be brought to the surface.

If you do so you may find that you are so caught up in trying to run away from that which you cannot escape that you inadvertently force your unconscious to push harder to make known to you what you need to deal with.

Of course you could go down the route of having a few drinks to dampen the highly sensitive nature of this full moon but this may be the worst thing you can do as then you may find yourself spiralling further out of control and making any situation you were trying to avoid that much worse.

This is a day to meditate and with this in mind you need to know what you want in order to give your meditations that extra push because the super moon will be adding weight to any dream you wish to take forward and also allowing you to explore different ways you can achieve this dream.

As you look at this image you see the figure in it peacefully asleep, resting in a dreamlike state, surrounded by bella donna flowers and luna moths.

Three of Pentacles

It’s time to take your own power back and use it in a way that best suits you!

Today is about energy… specifically your own energy and what you do with it.

Are you letting it leach out and having it taken by others who you are doing everything for whilst at the same time getting nothing in return?

Or are you using that energy to turn your dreams into reality and shower yourself with the many benefits this can in turn give you?

These are the questions you need to be asking yourself today.

By asking yourself these questions and taking your own thoughts, needs and wants into the equation of your answer you can harness your own energy and have it working for you rather than against you.

What is your dream? How far along have you traveled in accomplishing it?

The many facets of the peacocks feathers in this image suggest that there are multi layers to what you are wishing to accomplish and the yellows suggest mental agility in realizing what you need to do next.

All eyes are on you… or are they? Notice that you are only see one half of the picture in this image. What are the peacock’s feet doing, where are they placed and for that matter what is the other half of the body of the man doing?

Hanged Man

With the Sun opposing Neptune today, you may feel like you’re in a state of limbo. You could be frustrated over something that’s taken too long to materialize or a sense that nothing is really happening for you despite your best efforts.

The Hanged man refers to a time when the Universe puts road blocks in your path — often for your own good. You may have been running at a break-neck pace, never stopping to look at what you’ve accomplished.

Or you may have found yourself losing steam over a project that just hasn’t panned out. Either way, it may be time to put things on hold — at least long enough to evaluate your commitment.

This is also true of relationships. Whether you’re in an established relationship (or just exploring an interest in one), it could also be time to take a step back from that as well.

The Hanged Man card is also about surrender. Letting go and letting God. Holding back from trying to change the natural course of things because your own input could (and would) interfere with their development.

The Hanged Man appears in this card as a bat suspended between two scrawny trees, with the waxing moon looming behind him. He’s wrapped up in his own wings like a cocoon. He holds on tightly to his one possession: a tiny book. Perhaps he’s using this time to gain insight and wisdom.

Judgement

Today as Mercury moves into an opposition with Chiron, you may be thinking about the synchronistic events in your life and how all of your actions impact on one another and echo endlessly out into the Universe.

The Judgment card speaks of atonement, forgiveness and unconditional love. These are all qualities you’ll want to keep in mind today, especially if the need to act on any of them resonates with you personally.

This version of the card depicts a scene from Sheherazade’s Arabian Nights, in which a young Jinnī spirit appears in a cemetery to aid the fallen heroine Hassan Badreddine.

While not all Jinn creatures are angelic — in fact they are notoriously malicious — they all possess supernatural powers and are thus able to change the course of life and death. In this tale the young Jinnī’s compassionate service doubles as an act of retribution elsewhere.

Even in this context, the Judgement card has karmic implications. On one hand the Jinnī assists a mortal whose demise was unfair and untimely, thus creating positive karma. And on the other she defies the gods — thus creating negative.

The Judgment card tells us that what goes around comes around — even if not directly, and even if not in this lifetime. It refers to an epiphany or awakening, during which you realize the consequences of your actions and are therefore more inclined to proceed conscientiously.

The Lovers

There’s a feeling of exuberance around for you today especially when it comes to your love life. With Venus and Jupiter conjunct it is certainly the time to let your hair down and play!

Although the feelings and emotions you feel today may be somewhat like dancing in water as the two figures in this card suggest.

It also shows that the current of emotions swirling around you both are in sync and you are in this together versus being opposed or coming from different directions.

You never know where the feeling or mood will take you but one thing is certain you will only have eyes for each other and it is a day to forget any petty nonsense of the past which may have been coming between you.

The Lovers in this card are portrayed by a pair of mermaids coming together in a loving embrace.

The angelic figure above holds them together as if there is divine intervention looking out over your shoulder just now and a reunion is in order that you may not have seen coming.

As you find yourself caught up in the heady emotions of joy, love and togetherness you might wish to spare a thought for how things could be like this if you only let go of anything from your past that sometimes holds you back.

Four of Wands

Have you got everything in place for what you want to do next?

It may be that you are planning a project or something new and at the moment you are laying down the groundwork to how this will all fall into place for you. If so, take note to the image on this card for it may be that you need to call in some favours or help from others to accomplish what is on your mind.

With Mercury trining the south node today there is a sense that what you are planning to do is something you have been wanting for a long time. In the past you may not have been able to accomplish it because what you needed was not in the right place or it was not the right time for you but today you can start making plans and begin to see the results of your dreams coming to life.

The 4 points of the compass are clearly laid out within this image as the 4 cats hold hands and join in unison to bring everything together. The focus is on the fire within the middle which can serve as a focal point for what is needed next and as everyone is working in unison there is little chance that something will go wrong.

Do not allow a breakdown in communication although with Mercury’s placement this would be unlikely.

You may also wish to look for help from an unexpected source with Uranus close to the south node something or someone from your past may unexpectedly step forward and offer you the help you need at the moment you need it.

The Moon

As the moon turns full today in Aquarius things may go a little out of whack.

Aquarians are known for their eccentric thinking so just bear with this energy for a while and take note of anything that is happening around you that you may think of as unusual, out of the ordinary or not normal for you.

The Moon card can cause confusion alongside perhaps not being sure of where you are going. The image on this version shows a woman who is perhaps not dressed for the cold weather and yet there she stands looking around to see where she needs to go to next.

Do not be deceived by her fragile appearance for the imagery also suggests that she is very good at manifesting her dreams and desires. The “wand” she holds in her right hand is not being used at the moment but she has the choice as to whether she wishes to draw upon what is around her and bring together more cohesion in an attempt to gain what she wants.

Be on the lookout today for things which may at first not be what they seem. The moon can cloud your better judgement and this is particularly so when it is full. If you have any major decisions to make just now then perhaps it is best if you were to put them off for a few days and wait for the energies to die down so you can see more clearly what your next step should be.

The Magician

Today as the Sun and Mercury come together and both of them trine Pluto, you may be tapping into your own creative energy and harnessing “powers” that you didn’t even know you had. The Magician card refers to making something happen through your own skill, cunning and initiative.

In this version of the card we meet Prince Hussein, the eldest son of the Sultan of the Indies, who’s traveled to far-off lands in search of a rare gift to save a dying Princess. He returns with the most exotic and implausible gift of all, a shimmering, luminous magical carpet.

Not only is the carpet itself “magic” but it’s taken skill and discernment to secure and guide it. All of the necessary resources — all the confidence, aptitude, daring and resourcefulness — were right there at Hussein’s fingertips all along, although he may not have known it until push came to shove.

Look at all the flaming torches that are lighting the night sky. The Magician card promises a different sort of illumination; that which allows you access to the skills that are necessary for you to accomplish your goals.

The Sun and Mercury trine Pluto aspect is all about accessing your own inner resources — confidence (the Sun), ingenuity (Mercury) and power (Pluto) — to master your own destiny. This is no time to rely on auto-pilot. Like the Magician in this card, you may need to “rise above” your situation to view if from a different perspective.
