The World

The World

Are you ready to turn over a new leaf? Put the past behind you and turn your life around?

As we come to the end of 2015, you may be thinking about what you want to do differently as you move ahead into the New Year.

The World card — the version from the amazing Rabbit Tarot — is all about coming full circle, closing the door on one chapter in your life and preparing to open another.

It represents a time when you can get a clear overview of what you’ve accomplished and gain a fresh perspective.

What do have you accomplished this year that has not only worked for you but has worked so well that you want to carry it forward into the new year? And what would you rather leave behind, knowing it either just wasn’t working or is no longer conducive to your growth?

These are the questions you want to be asking yourself today — along with “What changes can I make in the new year and what resolutions am I willing to commit to?”

The World card is a card of both fulfillment and completion. With that in mind, it’s time to put the finishing touches on projects that are almost finished, and also time to rest anything that just didn’t pan out for you. You’re preparing to start a whole new journey, and in doing so will want to with as clean a slate as possible.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Oct 2, 2015 — The Hanged Rabbit

The Hanged Rabbit

The Hanged Rabbit

Today you may feel like the Universe is forcing you to put certain aspects of your life on hold. Plans you’ve made may he held up or delayed, or you may feel the need to take a step back and regroup.

This card — the Rabbit Tarot’s version of the Hanged Man — refers to things slowing down or even coming to a dead halt. It could be due to circumstances beyond your control, or it could be a decision you make when you realize the path you’re on is leading you in a direction you don’t want to go.

You could be frustrated over something that’s taken too long to manifest, or have the sense that nothing is happening despite your best efforts.

Roadblocks are put in your path — often for your own good. You may have been running at a break-neck pace, never stopping to look at what you’ve accomplished. Or you may have found yourself losing steam over a project that just hasn’t panned out.

Either way, it may be time to put things on hold — at least long enough to evaluate your commitment.

The Hanged Rabbit can refer to delays and sacrifices and when it does, you can bet they’re necessary. You’ll have to trust that there’s a reason, even if it’s not readily apparent, and that it will reveal itself to you in time. It indicates a need to back down, even if what you really really want to do is push forward. Your best bet under these circumstances will be to surrender to a higher power, or at least give up the resistance, for now.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Aug 17, 2015 — The Hierophant

Hierophant

The Hierophant

Today could see you taking a more serious look at what you believe in and how you communicate those beliefs to others.

The Hierophant card speaks of pursuing knowledge, studying tradition, reflecting on Universal laws and principles and deciding where we stand.

The Hierophant is referred to as the Pope in some decks. But it’s not only about religion. It’s about carrying the wisdom of the ancients forward — as a means of gaining a greater understanding for yourself and using it to guide others.

The Hierophant in this card is in deep thought and reflection. He’s not only in search of deeper knowledge, he’s prepared to impart it to others. He’s dressed in ceremonial garb, leading the way for those who follow. One hand holds a staff with a glowing orb at it’s tip and the other holds a bag of coins.

You could be immersing yourself in your studies today or making plans to embark on a spiritual journey. You may also be called upon present your ideas to others — either formally or informally.

If you find yourself having to defend your views, do it in a calm, practical manner. This card is not about being radical or fanatical. It’s about building on the conventions of those who’ve come before you and presenting your ideas with clarity and precision.

Free Daily Tarotscope — July 11, 2015 — Two of Sticks

Two of Sticks

Two of Sticks

Are you in need of more confidence and self-assurance these days? As Venus and Saturn inch closer and closer to their upcoming square aspect, you may be starting to feel overwhelmed by the weight of your own insecurities.

The Two of Sticks is the Rabbit Tarot’s version of the Two of Wands. He looks pretty dejected here out there in the middle of a snowstorm without a friend in the world. The sticks he’s carrying don’t seem heavy at all, but they’re somehow preventing him from moving forward.

This card indicates  a struggle with keeping things in balance in your life. You may have great ideas and plans for the future (as seen with the one branch held high in the rabbit’s hand) that get weighed down by practical concerns — money, time, scheduling conflicts, etc. Or you may be held back by a lack of faith in your own abilities.

The Two of Wands is traditionally associated with daring, courage and initiative — which this little guy could use in spades. And he’s going to have to find them if he wants to get out of the rut that he’s in; otherwise he’ll freeze to death under a blanket of uncertainty and doubt.

The Two of Sticks says you’re going to have to put your neck on the line sometimes in order to get what you want out of life. You can’t let your fears (of making the wrong move or not being fully prepared) get in your way. If you’re wavering over a decision due to your own insecurities, consider the consequences of not choosing at all. You risk squandering important opportunities if you let your fears hold you back.

Free Daily Tarotscope — May 23, 2015 — Five of Daisies

Five of Daisies

Five of Daisies

Today’s Sun / Saturn opposition may have you thinking about what’s missing in your life and what feels unattainable to you or seems just out of reach.

The Five of Daisies is the Rabbit Tarot’s version of the Five of Pentacles. And here we see a little rabbit poking his head out from behind a massive tree. He reaches one tentative paw into the water where five daisies are floating on the surface.

The Five of Pentacles is associated with a sense of helplessness against insurmountable odds. As Pentacles related to money (and values in general) and Fives related to crises, this card speaks of obstacles that spring from our own feelings of doubt and dread.

It wouldn’t be hard for the rabbit to reach out and latch onto one or two of those daisies. He’s already made a reluctant move. But his hesitation may end up costing him the lot.

There’s a lot of fear associated with this card. Fear of making a mistake or not being good enough. Fear of falling in. Fear of taking a leap of faith only to have the thing you want so desperately swept away before you get a chance to attain it.

Your challenge today is to move past those fears and recapture your your own self worth. Move past the feelings of shame, embarrassment and uncertainty and allow yourself to reach out for help. Take some time to remind yourself that you’re worthy of being loved and accepted. The challenge with the Five of Pentacles — as with the Sun / Saturn opposition — is not to give in to those fears, but to overcome them.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Apr 5, 2015 — Six of Tulips

Six of Tulips

Six of Tulips

Today you may find yourself surrounded by friends and loved ones and reminiscing about the past.

Whether you’re physically with those who are near and dear or just revisiting them in your memories, you’re likely to taking a trip down memory lane.

The Six of Cups — Tulips in this version, from the charming Rabbit Tarot by Nakisha VanderHoeven — speaks of innocence, sentimentality and memories from days gone by. You may be missing someone, longing for the comforts and companions that have gone by the wayside over time.

You could also hear from an old friend unexpectedly today. Someone who’s been on your mind and who reaches out across the miles, reminding you of long-forgotten events that come rushing back in a wave of nostalgia.

You may also feel the urge to reach out to those who remind you of life’s simpler pleasures, such as a family member or a childhood friend. And if you’re lucky enough to be surrounded by loved ones today, you should have no problem recapturing those memories.

This is not the time to bring old grievances back to the forefront. And there is some danger of that — courtesy of today’s Sun square Pluto transit. It’s time to focus on pleasure, playfulness and joyb, and working on creating new memories with those you love.

You may have been taking life too seriously and find yourself needing to get in touch with your inner child. Or you now may have to let your guard down and allow yourself to trust again — especially if you’ve been trying to guard your heart from pain. The Six of Tulips is about sharing — like the Rabbit in this card — and bringing the happier memories from your past forward to today.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Jan 30, 2015 — Five of Tulips

Five of Cups

Five of Tulips

You may be dealing with feelings of loneliness and isolation today. Like the poor little rabbit in this card — from the gorgeous Rabbit Tarot — you may have a hard time seeing what’s right in the world around you as you find yourself focusing on what’s wrong.

The Five of Tulips (Cups in most decks) refers to feeling left out. You might feel like you’re all alone and haven’t got a friend in the world. Or you may feel like you’ve been dismissed by those you have.

The Five of Tulips can indicate a sense of loss or disillusionment. A betrayal. Feeling rejected or shut out. Or like the rabbit in this card, left out in the cold.

Notice the tulips the rabbit holds in his hands. They’re upside down, indicating a reversal of the sentiments you’d usually expect to accompany a bouquet of flowers. Where there should be joy there’s sorrow, where there should be promise there’s despair, and where there should be contentment there’s regret.

Remember though that you do participate in your destiny. While you may not have any control over what goes down, you do have some say in how it all plays out.

Your heartache can become a powerful conduit for healing. It can also become a gift that you pass onto others: the gift of empathy. Your own experiences lead to a deeper understanding of what others may be dealing with, and can translate into compassion, understanding, forgiveness and unconditional love.

If you’re in a relationship now, ask yourself whether you’re happy with where things are headed? Are you seeing things clearly or are you too focused on what’s wrong to consider what just might be right? You may have to face some very painful realities and make some very difficult decisions.

If you’re not currently involved, chances are good that you’re still healing from a recent loss. You may be mourning a relationship’s demise, or you could be licking your wounds over a painful rejection. Either way, you could benefit from seeing the glass as half full this time and being willing to get back out there and drink from it.

Free Daily Tarotscope — Nov 20, 2014 — Seven of Tulips

Seven of Tulips

Seven of Tulips

If you aren’t careful with what you are doing today you may just inadvertently make a huge mistake.

If you have papers to sign, contracts to read over, etc make sure you do so twice and don’t sign anything that you don’t understand.

The Seven of Tulips can be a card of confusion. It can also show that you are away with the fairies somewhat and not completely grounded. This is in keeping with today’s Venus / Neptune square, which can turn wishful thinking into later regrets.

Here we see a cute little rabbit picking pink tulips whilst at the same time not looking at what she is doing and also looking for all the world as if she has her head in the clouds (literally).

The best that can be said is that if there is a middle ground or middle of the road stance for you to take on something today then do it. Don’t rock the boat and don’t go pushing into any arguments that you don’t have any right to be in.

If someone is rocking your boat do not let them goad you. Be on the lookout for the wool being pulled over your eyes too as you may be on the receiving end of a trick or two or from someone who is trying to get the better of you.

If you have a chance today to put your feet up and relax it is a great day to let your imagination soar. You can get through quite a lot by just sitting back and not focussing too hard on any one thing.

Remember today is not a day about “doing” it is a day about doing nothing and at the same time allowing others to not take advantage of you.
