Today you may be feeling more sociable than you have in recent days. While it may not be exactly a popularity contest, you’re bound to be seen as someone that people want to know and get close to.

At the same time you could have so many opportunities that it’s hard to spend too much time focusing on any one relationship or connection. Like the Hummingbird in this card you might find yourself flitting from one social engagement to another.

The Hummingbird — or Six of Branches — is the Animal Wisdom Tarot’s version of the Six of Wands. It’s known as the Victory card in many decks and can very well manifest for you as some sort of professional recognition.

You may be feeling like you’re on the road to success. And whether it happens now or it happens for you months down the road, remember that it’s always a process and not an event.

As colorful and vibrant as the Hummingbird and flowers are in the foreground of this card, you almost don’t notice the fireworks in the background. It tells you that there’s cause for celebration and you might as well enjoy it.

Don’t shy away from celebrating your achievements with others. Even if it feels premature at this stage know that you’re well on your way and that the fun doesn’t have to stop once you reach your goals. Today, as Uranus turns direct in Aries, you should be feeling more like shaking things up and breaking new ground in all the different areas of your life.

This transit can represent as an innovative and electrifying change in direction, but it can also manifest as an abrupt and unsettling wakeup call.

The King of Swords — this version from the fabulous Gypsy Palace Tarot — is a powerful and masterful king. He’s progressive and forward thinking and even a little eccentric. Just like Uranus in Aries.

He is intelligent, inventive and accomplished. He’s innovative and progressive. And he’s an expert at communicating his ideas and getting people to listen.

This is a time for putting your ideas out there — verbally or in writing — and communicating them to others. It’s not the time for ambivalence or uncertainty.

Look at the King in this card. He’s a bit more colorful and flamboyant than we’re using to seeing with the King of Swords. He’s usually rather stoic and somber.

But this whimsical version is just spirited enough to capture the dynamic and playful Uranus in Aries transit we’re dealing with and just dignified enough to capture the essence of planets moving through Capricorn right now.

This King says you can have the best of both worlds. It doesn’t have to be all work and no play. And you won’t get anywhere if it’s all play and no work. Think about putting your own unique and creative spin on whatever you’re trying today. You can expect good things if put yourself out there, and if you play your cards right you can do it without having to sacrifice any of your own personal flair.

It’s a card of fulfillment and completion; recognizing milestones that have passed and goals that have been achieved as you prepare to close the door on one chapter in your life and open another.

You may be setting new goals in place or you may be taking some time to celebrate how far you’ve come. You may be also thinking about the year ahead and the changes you want to set in motion.

As the last card in the tarot, the World complete’s the Fool’s journey, with the understanding that he’s grown, evolved and matured along the way.

This card can also have you thinking about where you fit in in the world and about your contributions to humanity. It speaks of not only realizing your dreams and achieving your goals, but also becoming one with the Universe, fulfilled and complete.

Today’s card — the Four of Wands from the Samurai Tarot — is all about reflecting on accomplishments and looking forward to where those accomplishments may lead. The Three of Cups — this version from the wonderful Morgan Greer Tarot — is a joyful and festive card that emphasizes partying and celebrating over work and responsibilities. It also emphasizes friends and casual relationships over serious romantic entanglements.

It refers to being surrounded by like-minded people and putting your differences aside. It’s about coming together and joining forces with those who have your best interests at heart.

The focus is on merriment and gaiety rather than monotony and drudgery. It’s on interacting and networking with others, allowing you to push aside some of your more serious concerns — at least for the time being.

It represents people gathering together to connect, interact and socialize. It’s a happy, joyful energy that can manifest as a party or celebration, or it could be as simple as a girls’ night out. There’s a strong sisterhood vibe to this card — as well as most other versions of the Three of Cups — too.

This is the Ceccoli Tarot’s version of the Emperor, in this case a mini Napoleon Bonaparte sitting on a rocking horse.

The room he sits in may be small, but he casts an imposing figure nevertheless, sitting there amongst the various discarded toys and sundries.

You may be asking yourself today whether you want to be a small fish in a big pond or a big fish in a small pond. It’s all about gaining perspective and establishing priorities.

This card symbolizes worldly acclaim and ambition. No matter how high you want to climb, you can know that there are possibilities available to you if you only you set your sights on pursuing them.

As the Emperor also relates to the Laws of the Land, some of the less pleasant manifestations of this card include being on the receiving end of legal or professional disciplinary actions, dealings with the IRS or government, or having to deal with an oppressive boss or coworker.

Hard work, perseverance and determination are all required: nothing will come to you through sheer luck or wishful thinking.

Today is a day for celebrating all that you have and for joining together with family members and all those in your life who you hold near and dear.

It’s a day for seeing abundance all around you. Or like the people in this card — the Ten of Pentacles from the Anna K. Tarot — expressing gratitude for all the blessings in your life, knowing there is plenty for all.

The Ten of Pentacles is a card of riches. If you are thinking to change your job or are in line for a promotion this is a great day to be cementing those thoughts in your own mind and looking at ways you can take yourself forward in your career.

There is a sense of solidarity in this image as if everyone has their place yet all look happy and comfortable within their roles and all is as it should be. No one is left out. No one is giving or receiving more than they are comfortable with.

Relationships take on a sense of balance and stability while communications take on a sense of understanding. This is a great day to be heard, and even small gestures will carry forward and can go a long ways.

The changes may not be apparent for some time but changes will come. If you are not communicating with another person and you are mulling thoughts over in your own mind take note of those thoughts as they have the capacity and greatness to turn into larger plans in the coming weeks. Whilst some thoughts start out small they can grow with such power that they take you far. Be careful what you think today because today is a day of greatness.

The King of Swords is intelligent, strategic and analytical. He’s inherently impartial. He doesn’t mince words, and he doesn’t listen to excuses. He makes his decisions based on logic and reason rather than compassion and empathy.

He’s a no-nonsense individual who is expected to mete out justice with a fair and authoritative hand. He may be a parent, a supervisor, a judge, or even a friend that steps in to give you a reality check when you need one most.

As with all court cards this can also refer to you — or to a state of mind that you need to develop in order to preserve a sense of order in your life. You may have felt taken advantage of by someone who’s overstepped their bounds and this card encourages you to resolve that problem by taking a more authoritative stance.
