Here is the Ask the Astrologers Astrology Forecast for the week of Nov 22 – Nov 28, 2015:
On Sunday the Sun moves into Sagittarius, the sign associated with expansion, evolution and growth. This transit evokes a shift in consciousness toward higher mind pursuits and may have you thinking about brushing up on your studies or pursuing new information and knowledge first hand. You may be thinking about going back to school or taking a trip abroad.
The Sun in Sagittarius archetype is associated first and foremost with personal expansion. How you manifest that will depending on your own evolutionary state, as well as your current focus and interests. You may experience an increased need for freedom and independence during this time in order to facilitate that expansion, through broadening your awareness of worldly affairs or re-evaluating your belief systems.
Monday’s Venus / Uranus opposition can manifest as erratic changes in your relationships, especially those that have become mired in drudgery or routine. This transit can bring people in who rock your world, only to see them exit just as quickly as they came in. It can shake up existing relationships too, leaving you feeling like the rug has been pulled out from under your feet.
If you’re dealing with ups and downs in your relationships, it’s not the time to force someone’s hand or insist on doing things your way. You’ll get much better results allowing your partner a wide berth and getting some space yourself.
Venus also inconjuncts Chiron on Monday. This aspect can put a strain on your love life by forcing you to look at unhealthy relationship patterns, such as mistaking compassion for love or pity for kindness. It underscores the potential for missing (or misreading) important social cues. As with all inconjunct aspects, the key to rebalancing this energy is adjusting your own perceptions and adapting your own approach.
Beginning on Tuesday, Mercury and Saturn move into conjunction, while Mars sextiles — and Neptune squares — them both. These transits work in concert with one another, even though the separate aspects become partile at different times. While the Mars sextile Saturn / Mercury portion brings focus and discipline to the table, the square to Neptune can leave you feeling disoriented or unstable.
This configuration can see you simultaneously driven to get things done (Mercury / Saturn / Mars) and frustrated by outside distractions and uncertainties (Mercury / Mars / Neptune). You’ll want to double check your work before you turn it in, or better yet wait until the fog (Neptune) has cleared.
In the middle of all this, the Full Moon takes place at 3°20′ Gemini on Wednesday. The Sabian symbol for this degree is: “Holly and Mistletoe Bring Christmas Spirit to a Home.” As many parts of the world move into the Holiday season, we may be thinking more about what these symbols represent — things like giving, caring, kindness, charity, friends and family.
This Full Moon is also loosely opposing Saturn and Mercury, which can temper some of the idealism associated with this symbol and replace it with melancholy. This isn’t necessarily a rain on your parade aspect, but combined with the squares to Neptune — especially the Saturn / Neptune square on Thursday — can put a damper on your Holiday spirit if you’re not careful.
On Saturday, Chiron goes direct, after spending the last five months in retrograde motion. This marks the onset of a period where you use what you’ve learned through processing your own perceived failures and disappointments to guide others along their paths. This can be accomplished on a large or small scale, but will come to you naturally through your own capacity for understanding, compassion and forgiveness.
Chiron will remain in direct motion for another seven months, moving through Pisces (and then retrograding again next June). You can use this cycle to work on your own soul growth as you learn from your mistakes and heal yourself through the process of healing others.
That’s it for this week, see you next Sunday!
